Caroline Hambloch wird gemeinsam mit Helena Pérez Niño (Institute of Social Studies, Niederlande), Mark Vicol (Universität Wageningen), Niels Fold (Universität Kopenhagen) und Sudha Narayanan (IFPRI) auf der EADI CEsA General Conference 2023 am 10. Juli in Lissabon ein Panel über Vertragslandwirtschaft im globalen Süden veranstalten.
Ziel des Panels ist es, Wissenschaftler aus verschiedenen Regionen und kritischen Perspektiven zusammenzubringen, um das Potenzial der Vertragslandwirtschaft für die ländliche Entwicklung zu erörtern. Im Mittelpunkt stehen dabei die Dynamik der Finanzialisierung, der Widerstand der Kleinbauern, die soziale Differenzierung als Ursache und Wirkung sowie die Dynamik der Arbeitsausbeutung.

C. Hambloch co-organizes panel on contract farming at the EADI CEsA General Conference 2023
Caroline Hambloch will co-host a panel together with Helena Pérez Niño (Institute of Social Studies, The Netherlands), Mark Vicol (Wageningen University), Niels Fold (University of Copenhagen), Sudha Narayanan (IFPRI) on contract farming in the global south at the EADI CEsA General Conference 2023 on July 10 in Lisbon.
The panel aims to bring together scholars from different geographies and critical perspectives to discuss the potential of contract farming for rural development, focusing on the dynamics of financialization, smallholder resistance, social differentiation as both cause and effect, and labor exploitation dynamics.
